KING BAI is
a DJ from Gambia, he specializes in Dancehall Reggae and he
has worldwide experience.
His start came with the Roots Foundation Sound System in 1995
which featured the talents of Ganjaman, President Hammer and
Dawda Sarr.
In this early phase of his career he was fortunate
enough to meet Kingman Promotions, this turned into a pivotal
moment as he then toured Germany playing in Café
Cuba (Essen), Fish Night Club (Hanover) and Sky Night Club
(Hamburg) with the legends Daddy Freddy and Michael Prophet.
The experience in Germany and the positive reaction
of the crowds gave him the energy to create KING BAI SOUND,
Voice of Respect Promotions soon recognised the blazing
talent on display and booked them to play with: Killer Sound,
Inspector Chow, Pow Pow Movement, David Radigan, Chris Goldfinger,
Exodus Sound, Top Rankin Sound etc.
More bookings followed in cities all
over Europe and peaking in 2005 when he played an after
show party at the world famous Summer Jam Festival in Köln
with MC Raab, MC Diamond and King Ralph and Stone Circle
Sound.
Since 2003 he has been returning to Gambia with
the Outta Germany Crew to promote the Dancehall Tobaski
Tour which features KING BAI SOUND, MC Diamond, Stone Circle
Sound, King Ralph and Mystic MC.
KING BAI now lives in Germany but is proud to have
a sound system that is popular and ‘running tings’
in Europe and Africa.
